FTP Uploading FrontPage Sites
Microsoft provides their Web Publishing Wizard (WPW) on all Windows-compatible
FrontPage CD’s. This Wizard provides an upload-only interface
for any FTP server. However, WPW will not allow you to view the
contents of your server directories, nor delete files already on
the server. We would encourage you to install and use a standard
FTP client. FrontPage generates standard html files, along with
some Microsoft-specific code embedded in the page, so any FTP
client will work.
Note: If you have installed the FrontPage
Extensions, then you should not try to FTP files up to the server.
If you wish to upload files via FTP, please remember to uninstall
the extensions before uploading.
No Extensions are required to upload your web site. Here is how
it can be done. In the examples below, you would change the words
"yourdomain.com" to your actual domain name.
